SSL connection
The latest advances in browser and server technology have facilitated the use of worry-free web services related to electronic fraud. An example of this is Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), developed by Netscape, a security protocol sent to the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) as an Internet draft. Basically, the protocol allows the browser and server of a web session to authenticate each other and protect the information that will subsequently flow between both points. Through the use of cryptographic techniques such as coding and digital signature, the protocol: allows browsers and web servers to authenticate each other; allows website owners to control access to particular servers, directories, files or services; allows the sharing of confidential information (such as, for example, credit card numbers) between the browser and the server, keeping it inaccessible to third parties; and it allows to ensure that the data exchanged by the browser and the server can not be corrupted, either accidentally or deliberately, without it being detected.
How can you tell if the connection is secure?
In Internet Explorer, you will see a lock icon in the security status bar. The security status bar is to the right of the address bar. The certificate that is used to encrypt the connection also contains information about the identity of the owner or organization of the website. You can click on the padlock to see the identity of the website.

Redsýs 3D Secure
The 3D Secure payment technology is an extra security system for purchases in online stores. It has been running since 2008 and is called 'Verified by Visa' in the case of the international Visa scheme, 'SecureCode' in the case of Mastercard, 'JSecure' for JCB, 'SafeKey' for American Express ... In Redsys we have the platform 3D Secure more complete market, adapted and certified to the standards of all these major international brands.
The normal thing is that in some purchase we have made an online payment using the 3D Secure method but we do not know this denomination. To make a payment with this system in addition to entering the usual data for payment, we are requested an extra data to raise the level of security in the transaction.
At the beginning of the 3D Secure payment, the electronic commerce in which we made the purchase takes us to the website of our bank. This will request information that is not reflected in any part of the card. The new requirement to enter may be a PIN, a numeric key, some combination of the coordinates card that they gave us in our bank or a code sent to our mobile phone, among others. It will always be our banking entity that decides which authentication method you choose for the transaction.
On the other hand, it is a measure or technology consolidated for many years and that reinforces the security when buying on the Internet.
It is important to know that the payment through this technology is the only one that really identifies us in the network, in which the bank has been in charge of verifying the owner.
PayPal
PayPal is an online payment system that allows us to pay for our purchases in e-commerce without having to provide our banking information to the supplier.
